*Suge Knight predicts challenging times for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs following Homeland Security’s raids on his homes in Los Angeles and Miami this week.
A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson stated that the search was part of an ongoing investigation carried out with support from multiple law enforcement agencies.
We reported earlier that the investigation purportedly stemmed from civil suits filed by five accusers accusing Combs of sexual assault or abuse. Combs’ attorney, Aaron Dyer, characterized the search as an “unprecedented ambush.”
“There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated,” Dyer’s statement read. “Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities. Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way.”
Meanwhile, during a recent broadcast of the Collect Call with Suge Knight podcast with Dave Mays, the incarcerated Death Row Records co-founder reacted to the raid and called it “a bad day for hip-hop…for the culture…Black people, because if one looks bad, we all look bad,” Knight said.
“That’s definitely not nothing to cheer about,” Suge added.
“But I’ll tell you what, Puffy: your life is in danger,” Suge claimed, noting that Diddy knows “the secrets” and because of that, “they gonna get you if they can.”
