*Ice Cube clapped back at accusations of being associated with “white supremacists,” particularly Elon Musk, after revealing his 3-on-3 pro basketball league is coming to X (formally Twitter).
Cube recently announced that The Big 3 League, which is set to kick off its seventh season on June 15th, will be streaming on X, Hip Hop DX reports. Fans criticized Ice Cube’s decision to collaborate with X owner, Elon Musk, whom he had clashed with in the past.
“Love and respect Cube but his alignment with a white supremest [sic] is all we need to know. I get it money matters so do you my guy. Just keep it 100 and don’t Trojan horse for them. White Supremacy is who you are and represent. Enjoy!!,” one fan commented on X, per Hip Hop DX.
Ice Cube responded, “Shut yo bitch ass up! I ain’t aligned with nothing, punk. I draw my own fuckin lines.”
In September, Cube sparred with Musk on X/Twitter after the billionaire tech mogul trolled him on the platform.
We reported at the time that Musk posted a meme poking fun at Ice Cube’s age. The post featured an image of the rapper/actor and the caption: “Remember Ice Cube? This is him now. Feel old yet?”
Cube responded with a meme post of Twitter’s former bird logo and a burning dumpster.
“Remember Twitter? This it now, feel stupid yet?” the “Friday” actor wrote in the caption. One user commented under Ice Cube’s post, writing, “To be fair Twitter is dead now. He must not know about ????.”
The hip-hop icon previously stated he faces a slew of burdens in the industry, which he attributes to his controversial “Contract with Black America,” a proposal that has triggered Black liberals.
According to Ice Cube, his Big3 basketball league is not receiving the media attention it deserves due to his political views.
