*Wendy Williams‘ son could find himself without a luxurious apartment to live in. Page Six, citing court documents it obtained, revealed that Kevin Hunter Jr. received an eviction notice from his Miami-based apartment. The notice stems from the younger Hunter’s failure to pay his rent for February,
As a result, the notice, filed at the end of February, revealed that Kevin owes the building more than $4,317.08 in back rent. In addition, Kevin Jr.’s lease, which began on Sept. 15, 2023, and stated he was obligated to pay $3,713 per month in rent after paying more than $7,000 for a security deposit.
Subsequent court documents filed on March 5 show the case against Kevin Jr. had been dismissed. As a result, Page Six noted how it appears that the 23-year-old club promoter settled the debt.
The outlet’s report comes after the first report on the eviction notice by The US Sun.
News of the notice marks the latest situation surrounding Kevin Jr.’s struggle with paying rent. In 2002, he faced eviction from his former $2 million Miami apartment in 2022 after not paying $70,000 in rent. Page Six noted the complaint, which mentioned Williams paying $100,000 up-front for the first year of her son’s apartment.
Kevin Jr., the son of Williams and her ex-husband Kevin Hunter, cited “some health issues” his famous mother was going through as the reason he did not pay the rent on that place. As a result, the court stepped in to take control of his finances.
Kevin Jr.’s possible eviction comes days after Lifetime’s two-part docuseries, “Where is Wendy Williams?,” aired on the network. The special, which aired in February, examined the 59-year-old former daytime talk show host’s battle for her guardian-controlled finances while facing diagnoses of dementia and aphasia, Page Six noted.
Although Williams is currently in an undisclosed treatment facility, her brother mentioned she has shown a “substantial amount of improvement.”
