*Rapper Waka Flocka wants a judge to seal the court records regarding his divorce from ex-wife Tammy Rivera.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, he’s also requested an order preventing either party from discussing the case publicly.
Earlier this month, the hip-hop star (real name: Juaquin Malphurs) asked the judge to order all parties “to refrain from discussing the proceedings and any aspect of the proceedings in the media to include but not limited to social media, print media, internet, radio, and or television media.”
Per Radar, “The motion comes as Tammy and Waka’s new girlfriend have been going at it on social media. The feud escalated and Tammy’s daughter even called out Waka’s new partner for appearing to criticize her mother,” the outlet writes.
A judge has yet to rule.
Waka and Rivera were married for nearly eight years before they separated. While he has no kids, Waka helped raise Rivera’s daughter Charlie from a previous relationship.
On May 23, 2023, Waka filed for divorce from Tammy in a Georgia court. He listed the marriage date as January 21, 2014, and the separation date as December 1, 2021, per Radar. A year later, he called his ex his “best friend.”
“That’s my best friend, that’s my dawg,” Waka said of the “Love and Hip Hop star” on a TMZ podcast in 2022.
“People evolve for the better,” he added. “We ain’t nasty. It’s love, though.”
