*The viral “Who TF Did I Marry?” series on TikTok has been turned into a low-budget movie from filmmaker Alvin Gray.
Reesa Teesa, the woman behind the 52-part story –whose real name is Tareasa Johnson– recently signed with CAA after “Who TF Did I Marry” debuted on TikTok in February. In the videos, she exposes her “pathological liar” ex-husband and reached 400 million impressions in three weeks.
“I am excited to join the CAA family in what has become an extraordinary and life-changing opportunity,” said Reesa, Complex reports. “I hope to bring this story and personal experiences to an even bigger platform with the hope of helping those in similar circumstances know they are not alone.”
Alvin Gray’s 9/10 Productions has released a trailer for his latest project, “The Wife That Didn’t Know Who She Married,” which mirrors Resse’s story. At one point, the lead character, named Tessa, asks another character, “Who the fuck did I marry?”
The original 8-hour TikTok series was picked up by several mainstream outlets such as the Washington Post, Rolling Stone, and Time magazine.
“It’s entertaining, I know it’s gone viral, but it is not easy telling this story,” Reesa Teesa says in Part 44 of the video series. “I made a decision to share my story, what I went through in [the] hopes that it helps just one person.”
It’s unclear when the film will be available, but Black Twitter claims it will debut on Tubi. Reesa Teesa has yet to respond to the trailer — watch it above.
Meanwhile, we reported earlier that the ex-husband, Jerome McCoy (known as Legion on social media), is considering legal action over the “Who TF Did I Marry” TikTok videos. He also doesn’t believe Reesa will have a successful Hollywood career after being signed to CAA “because he thinks she has no talent,” TMZ writes.
