*The TikTok user known as Reesa Teesa, who went viral with her 52-part “Who TF Did I Marry?!?” series, in which she exposed her “pathological liar” ex-husband, has signed with Creative Arts Agency for representation.
TMZ reports that CAA signed Reesa, whose real name is Tareasa Johnson, after her “Who TF Did I Marry?!?” TikTok videos reached 400 million impressions in three weeks. Her tale will likely be turned into a movie-of-the-week for a cable network.
As we reported earlier, Reesa’s nearly 8-hour video series was picked up by mainstream outlets such as the Washington Post, Rolling Stone, and Time magazine.
“It’s entertaining, I know it’s gone viral, but it is not easy telling this story,” Reesa Teesa says in Part 44 of the series. “I made a decision to share my story, what I went through in [the] hopes that it helps just one person.”
In the clips, Reesa Teesa details how she met her ex on a dating app and the progression of their relationship during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also reflects on their decision to move in together, their marriage in January 2021—and the unraveling of everything after she discovered him lying multiple times.
Meanwhile, the ex-husband, Jerome McCoy (known as Legion on social media), is considering legal action over “Who TF Did I Marry.” He also doesn’t believe Reesa will have a successful Hollywood career after being signed to CAA “because he thinks she has no talent,” TMZ writes.
Reesa Teesa is currently making the media rounds, having appeared recently on GMA and the “The Tamron Hall Show.”
She told Hall that there was one detail she failed to mention in the “Who TF Did I Marry?” series, and that is… she suffered a miscarriage, The Blast reports.
“The one thing I did not put in there, I hit on it but I did not go in depth, the part for me that I don’t talk about because I don’t want to be that vulnerable, I don’t want someone to make fun of, it is the fact that, once I discovered that no he’s not a regional manager, he’s not a VP of production or operations, he was just a regular employee, the dominoes started falling, and one of those dominoes was the realization that you did not have a business meeting when I had to go to the hospital. You simply were not there,” Reesa told Hall.
“So when I was texting you, and I was terrified, and texting you that I’m in pre-op at Northside Hospital and I’m so scared because I just don’t know what’s gonna happen, and David text me back, there came a moment where once I discovered all the lies, that I realized, you really left me hanging when I needed you the most,” she explained on the daytime talk show. “And on so many levels, I can honestly sit here and tell you that is the one thing that I struggle to forgive because it’s already hard.”
Reesa revealed to Hall that she endured a miscarriage while alone in the hospital. She believed David to be Legion’s assistant, but it was another of her ex’s alleged lies.
“I take myself back to when I discovered there was no David,” she continued. “So, you were pretending to be someone else, texting me when I was in pre-op telling you I’m scared, I love you, I text all this.”
