*Dairy Queen is returning the popular Cherry Dipped Cone after it was discontinued last spring.
“We know our fans love the Cherry Dipped Cone, and we’re excited to bring this sweet offering back for a limited time at participating locations,” a representative for the ice cream brand said in a statement, PEOPLE reports.
The fan-favorite was removed from the menu last year, with the company telling PEOPLE in a statement… “… the Cherry Dipped Cone at Dairy Queen is being discontinued.”
DQ added, “That said, DQ is always rotating our dipped cone flavors and Cherry Dipped Cones may return in the future. Fans should check with their local DQ restaurant to learn which flavors are available.”
TikTok creator @DairyQueenShelbyTwp, a district manager at a DQ shop in Michigan, confirmed the Cherry Cone Dip is making a comeback, but it’s still uncertain when the tasty treat will be available.
“… due to popular demand, cherry is coming back,” the TikToker confirmed on sociam media. “I can’t give an exact date because it depends on when the distributors get it in stock, but it was one of the best sellers in my location, which are in southeast Michigan, so I’ll be the first to let you guys know when I have it,” @DairyQueenShelbyTwp (real name Miranda) added in the video.
Last May, DQ left fans devastated by announcing that it discontinued its famous cherry-dipped ice cream cone.
“While it’s great to see our fans’ love for the Cherry Dipped Cone, we are always innovating our menus to showcase new and delicious flavors,” the fast-food chain confirmed to The New York Post.
“Fans can keep an eye on our social channels for the latest and greatest on flavor offerings for the iconic DQ dipped cone.”
