*“They saw me on TikTok,” said model/TV personality Melody Trice about how she ended up the brand ambassador for PloppyDolly Shapewear and touring around the world showcasing their shapewear designs.
“I do very well on TikTok. I made it a goal to make a live appearance on TikTok every day for a year. They (TikTok) took notice … a TikTok agent reached out and said they wanted to represent me because they saw potential in me. It went from there.”
Melody has been a celebrity in the fashion/beauty industry even before she realized she was one by first building a franchise of beauty supply shops in Florida, as a licensed cosmetologist, as a model, and as a SAG/AFTRA actress. From those successes, Melody launched her own talk show, “The Melody Trice Show,” in 2017. She served as host and producer of that show and received on average two million viewers a week. The talk show aired on Roku, Arroyo TV, Amazon TV, AT&T’s U-verse, Time Warner Cable, Spectrum Cable, Frontier Cable, and Comcast TV (which alone had ½ million viewers). “The Melody Trice Show” attracted viewers ages 18 – 49 and covered such topics as business, beauty, health, and technology.
On her show, she interviewed such heavy-weight celebrities as Omar Gooding, Hill Harper, Debbie Allen, and Nick Cannon. Her celebrity status resulted in an appearance on “The Steve Harvey Show.” “The Melody Trice Show” ended with the Covid pandemic, but in 2023 she relaunched “The Melody Trice Show” as a Podcast. Trice launched MT Cosmetics, a line of beauty products, in 2021. As you can see Melody Trice is a human brand the industry is taking notice of.
“I’ve had a lot of opportunities,” she said about having TikTok represent her.
One of those opportunities is being scouted by PloppyDolly Shapewear. As their brand ambassador Melody recently walked the runways at New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, and Milan Fashion Week wearing PloppyDolly shapewear designs.
