Federal Agency Responds to Bigfoot Sighting in Colorado

*The USDA Forest Service has spoken out about the alleged Bigfoot sighting in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.

Shannon Parker and her husband Stetson were train passengers traveling through the San Juan National Forest on Sunday when they spotted the apelike mythical creature. The couple’s cell phone footage shows the hairy, two-legged creature walking through the scrub before sitting on the ground.

When Shannon posted the video of Sasquatch on Facebook, it quickly went viral and sparked debate about its authenticity.

“It’s story time y’all!”  she wrote, Metro reports. “On Sunday, October 8, 2023, Stetson Tyler and I took the Narrow Gauge train ride from Durango to Silverton.

“After leaving Silverton and heading back to Durango, I asked Stetson to help me look for elk in the mountains. As we are passing by the mountains, Stetson sees something moving and then says “I think it’s Bigfoot,” she continued.

“Brandon, the guy sitting next to Stetson on the train, grabs his phone and starts recording. Meanwhile, I am trying to get a photo on my camera.”

The footage shows the creature looking around the ground and up at the train.

“Out of the hundreds of people on the train, three or four of us actually saw, as Stetson says in the video, the ever elusive creature Bigfoot,” said Shannon.

“I don’t know about y’all but we believe!”

Some people believe the Bigfoot sighting was staged by the train operator for publicity.

In a statement, the USDA Forest Service noted that it could not “speculate” about the footage’s legitimacy.

“The USDA Forest Service can’t speculate or provide comments on the authenticity of the video,” a spokesperson told TMZ on Wednesday. “We’ll be sure to alert the media if and when a Sasquatch is sighted by officials on National Forest System lands.”
