In the clip, they explain why the creators explain the process behind styling Ariel’s hair and the importance of being true to Halle’s look.
“The Little Mermaid” is helmed by Oscar-nominated director Rob Marshall and also stars Javier Bardem as King Triton, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, Jacob Tremblay as Flounder and Awkwafina as Scuttle. Earlier this year, Bailey chatted with Access Hollywood about playing the beloved character Ariel in “The Little Mermaid.”
Earlier this year, Halle explained how kids’ reaction to the groundbreaking flick was healing her inner child, sharing, “I just feel so grateful and when I see the children and the babies and their reactions … It’s like this immense feeling, like overwhelmingly beautiful feeling within me.”
On Tuesday, Sept. 19, Walt Disney Studios will release “The Little Mermaid” in stunning 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats.
