‘Buying Back My Daughter’: Meagan Good And ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Ariana Madix In New Lifetime Film – Shadow and Act

Meagan Good is on the search for her missing daughter with a police officer Ariana Madix in the trailer for the upcoming Lifetime film Buying Back My Daughter. The film debutes Oct. 7 at 8/7c on Lifetime.

As previously reported, the film is part of Lifetime’s “Ripped from the Headlines” film series and is inspired by actual events of mothers who have fought to save their daughters from sex trafficking. The film is part of Lifetime’s Stop Violence Against Women campaign and marks the third time Good has worked with Lifetime.

Good stars as Dana, a mother who goes to every length to save her missing daughter. According to the description:

When Dana (Meagan Good) and Curtis’ (Roger Cross) 16-year-old daughter, Alicia (Faith Wright), sneaks out of the house to attend a party, a bout with teenage rebellion quickly escalates into a widespread search party spearheaded by Dana and the police. After almost a year of searching for her missing daughter, mother’s intuition leads Dana to the salacious world of online escort ads where, to her horror, she finds her Alicia listed for sale. Dana and Curtis spring into action and attempt to “buy their daughter back” in order to rescue her from the trafficker who abducted Alicia and subjected her to unspeakable harm. Ariana Madix stars as Karen, a police officer who helps investigate the case and has a personal connection to the story.

The film is written by Barbara Marshall and directed by Troy Scott. Front Street Pictures produces with Charles Cooper. Good executive produces with Orly Adelson, Allen Lewis and James Jope co-executive producing.
