*Cops have an arrest warrant out for the suspect allegedly behind the swatting pranks on Nicki Minaj’s California home.
The hip-hop star hit up social media on Wednesday to call out a woman named Stephanie Bell for allegedly making swatting calls to her residence in the San Fernando Valley, TMZ reports.
Per TMZ, Nicki said … “Stephanie Bell. A warrant is in the system. Great detective work. So grateful. The DA filed one count for the swatting call and one for the false report to DCFS. To God be the glory.”
In another post, Nicki added … “To the woman who made those swatting calls to my home… #WasItWorthItDumbo ?”
As TMZ reports, Bell is facing two charges of deliberately reporting a false emergency.
We reported in June that an anonymous caller falsely reported that Nicki’s child was being abused, leading to a swatting attack at her house.
According to Page Six, someone called child services on the hip-hop star. When Los Angeles Police Department sheriff’s deputies showed up at Minaj’s residence, she was questioned and the toddler was examined. According to TMZ, officials ultimately determined there were no signs of abuse.
Hours later, another call was placed to 911 with a false report about a fire at Minaj’s residence. Law enforcement eventually determined the rapper had been a victim of “swatting.”
“Swatting is a cyber harassment technique with a goal of sending an armed emergency response team to a victim’s location,” per CloudFlare.
Celebrities who have been targeted in swatting attacks include Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Tom Cruise, Chris Brown, and Diddy.
