*Three hospital employees were stabbed by a mentally unstable Florida mother as she tried to steal her newborn from the neonatal intensive care unit.
According to police, Kendra Greene, 31, attempted to “violently” remove” her 3-day-old daughter from a ventilator Thursday at Florida Palms West, CBS12 reports.
Court records say she ripped off the infant’s life-supporting devices, a central line from her stomach, and a feeding tube. When hospital employees intervened, Greene pulled out a knife and stabbed three of them.
One person’s right forearm was slashed, another was cut on their right hand and the third was injured on the side of their neck. They were treated and released the same night, New York Post reports.
Greene fled the hospital with the newborn and dropped the baby off with a family member. She was later taken into custody after crashing her vehicle.

But Kendra’s mother says that’s not the real Kendra.
She says her daughter is schizophrenic and belongs in a mental hospital, not in jail.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue took her newborn back to the hospital in stable condition.
Investigators learned Greene was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was rapidly deteriorating after her arrest.
Meanwhile, Deion Greene, Kendra’s mother, said her daughter believes the hospital stole her baby.
