*It is not uncommon for the wealthy to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a 30-minute performance from a pop star.
Drake, Beyonce, Flo Rida, and Rod Steward, to name a few, have performed at private events like bar mitzvahs and birthdays, according to Business Insider. Private performances are becoming more normalized and have become the bread and butter for many artists as they make less money from their music
The price tag for many of these A-listers will run between $150,000 and $300,000, with international shows offering up to $1 million.
As Insider reports, a lawyer for Flo Rida said the rapper “loves weddings, birthday parties, and bar/bat mitzvahs.”
According to Billboard, Flo Rida is one of the most sought-after names for private events because he “has had hit after hit after hit.”

In related news, Flo Rida won a multi-million dollar lawsuit against Celsius energy drinks after a Florida jury awarded him $82.6 million in damages in January. So how does he intend to spend the money?
“I’m all about giving, you know, giving is required so I look forward to taking care of the neighborhood,” he said at the Grammy Awards in February, ET Online reports.
As “Today” reports, Celsius was found guilty of breaching an endorsement deal with the artist whose legal name is Tramar Dillard. Rida was hired as an ambassador for the drink in 2014 and ultimately sued the company over stock that he was promised but never received. The hip-hop star promoted the brand’s drinks for years but claims he was not properly compensated.
In his statement, Flo said he was “instrumental in the Celsius that you know and love today.”
“This was a long journey, but we prevailed. From the start, I only wanted what I worked for, nothing more, nothing less,” he said in a statement.
