‘Magnum P.I.’ Canceled At NBC After Being Initially Canceled By CBS – Shadow and Act

Magnum P.I. has been canceled yet again.

After being canceled by CBS in May 2022, NBC picked up the series for seasons 5 and 6 by ordering 20 new episodes. Unfortunately, the series’ time on NBC has been shortlived as the network has opted not to renew.

The series starred Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill, Tim Kang and Amy Hill.

‘Magnum P.I.’ cancellation comes as a result of the Writers Guild strike and budget cuts.

According to Decider, news of NBC’s decision to not renew the series for another season comes after “options on the cast were due to expire June 30.”

The outlet also reports that the network is currently undergoing budget cuts as a result of the Writers’ strike.

NBC saved the show following CBS cancellation last year.

Despite being canceled by CBS after four seasons, The first five seasons are now streaming on Paramount+.was granted another shot by NBC after the network that viewership for the series was one of the highest for broadcast television.

NBC quickly picked up the show, ordering 20-episodes split into two seasons.

Although Magnum P.I. has been scrapped from NBC’s upcoming lineup, fans are able to stream the first five seasons on Paramount+.
