The venture is a partnership with LATAM Airlines and will offer five new routes into the southern continent. Daily services to Medellin, Colombia will be offered beginning on October 29. On that same day, the airline will roll out three weekly services to Peru. Delta will also launch a route from Atlanta to Cartagena, Bogota, and Lima.

“The mission of Delta and the LATAM group’s partnership is to make travel between our Joint Venture markets in North and South America easier and more enjoyable and to bring the continents closer than ever,” Delta’s Vice President for Latin America Alex Antilla shared with Travel + Leisure

Currently, Delta’s partnership with LATAM Airlines connects more than 200 North American destinations with 120 places in South America. In a press statement, Delta expressed how more customers were switching to Delta to have more accessibility to international destinations.

“We’re grateful for the response from customers who are moving over to Delta and the LATAM Group,” Antilla said. “These exciting new routes, combined with our loyalty benefits, will provide even more ways to discover and do business in these dynamic markets.”

Delta frequent flyers will still be able to tap in with all of their favorite perks on these new routes. This includes priority boarding, lounge access, SkyMiles, and extra bags. The airline also recently announced new routes to Orlando to Bogota beginning on July 1, Los Angeles to Sao Paulo on August 1, and New York (JFK) to Rio de Janeiro starting on December 16.
