*The summer travel season is one of the busiest for the airline industry. Those who stick close to home venture farther during the summer season.

That means you’ve got people from different socioeconomic backgrounds, different races, and cultures sharing the same space flying through the air in a metal container.

Air travel numbers have risen to pre-pandemic levels. That means sometimes passengers are packed onboard flights like sardines. Some wear protective masks. Some don’t. So the last thing most people want is to be shoulder to shoulder with strangers given the health climate we live in.

Add to it the fact that airline seats are getting smaller, and it could lead to uncomfortable situations on longer flights.

So with that in mind, we have to ask, “Should fat people purchase two seats?
