Dominique Fishback and Anthony Ramos vibe off each other in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and that vibe can also be felt in real life.
In an interview with Shadow and Act, Fishback and Ramos talked about what it was like filming in New York City as well as their friendship off-screen.
“Brooklyn in the summer is the best summer that you could have,” said Fishback. “I think it’s the swag and confidence. I love New York swag.”
“We’ve known each other for a while,” said Ramos, with Fishback adding that the two of them have talked about writing something together so they could act together on film.
“We kinda had a bond before that and we really wanted to do something together, even if we had to write it,” she said. “We would sit in the café and…we [were] both like, ‘It’s gotta be so Brooklyn, it’s gotta be real epic and then we both kind of got busy and it didn’t happen, and lo and behold, the universe, God, always had Transformers in the works for us.”
Ramos also said that working with Pete Davidson in the film was fantastic, even though he was only bouncing off of Davidson’s voice as Mirage.
“I gotta give it all to Pete. I got to give all the props to Pete. Pete killed it, he did his thing…Pete Davidson is an incredible actor.”
