In a whirlwind of frustration and disappointment, actor Marlon Wayans recently found himself embroiled in a clash with United Airlines. Just hours before he was set to grace the stage for a performance in Kansas City, he was abruptly removed from a flight following a heated argument about his luggage. Details inside…
Marlon Wayans expressed his frustration with United Airlines after a contentious altercation resulted in his removal from a flight just hours before his scheduled stage appearance. The White Chicks star shared his harrowing travel experience with his followers on Friday, recounting how he was unable to make it to his performance in Kansas City due to a bag-checking issue.
According to Marlon, a fellow passenger alleged that he had exceeded the allowable number of bags. In response, he consolidated his belongings, complying with the request. However, he was then informed that he had to check the consolidated bag.
Displeased by this apparent contradiction, he expressed his frustration in an Instagram video, stating, “Bro claimed i had too many bags so i complied and consolidated them he was like ‘oh now you have to check that bag.’ Bye. I’m in seat 2 A come holla. Most agents are always love but every now and then you come across BAD PEOPLE. This was one of them. @united this type of employee should never work at your company. I’m writing a lettter DEAR MR. @scottkirby …”

The famed comedian criticized the airline for employing individuals he deemed to be “BAD PEOPLE,” noting that such employees should not represent United Airlines. He claimed that a heated exchange with a staff member resulted in him receiving a citation for disturbing the peace from the Denver Police Department, as reported by TMZ. The Fifty Shades of Black star confirmed the incident by sharing a screenshot of TMZ’s article on his Instagram.
Addressing his six million followers, the Little Man star refuted allegations that he had assaulted the staff member, insisting that the video evidence proved otherwise.
“Dude tried to lie and say I assaulted him,” he wrote. “The video clearly shows I never touched him. He was desperate to try to have some authority. I’ve flown over 15,000,000 miles in my lifetime, and I rarely have had problems. Anyone knows who knows me knows I’m a mild-mannered dude.”
Describing the sequence of events, the AIR actor explained that he had complied with the request to consolidate his bags but was then informed that the consolidated bag was too large and had to be checked. He proceeded to board the plane after retrieving his ticket from the counter. The 50-year-old actor/comedian asserted that he had experienced harassment and vowed to make enough noise to ensure that his friends, family, and associates cease flying with United Airlines, turning the matter into a corporate issue.
“He asked me to consolidate my bags, and I complied,” he went on. “Then, said now I have to check the bag because now since I consolidated it into one bag it was too big. At that point, I said, ‘See, now you’re just f–king with me.’
“So I grabbed my ticket off the counter got on the plane. This was harassment, and I will make enough noise to be sure all my friends and family and peoples stop flying @united this will be a corporate matter.”
Later, Marlon posted a photo of himself on an American Airlines flight, continuing his criticism of United Airlines. He stated, “Fly where you’re respected, protected, and loved. @americanair concierge key!!! No more @united for me. Y’all treated a first-class brother real disrespectful. I need answers. And they owe me money for missing the shows in KC. This won’t stop until I get some apologies and there are changes.”
In a subsequent IG post, the comedian/actor shared a clip from White Chicks and quoted the famous line, “I’m soooo freakin’ pissed!” He expressed his disappointment with the lack of genuine kindness, asking United Airlines to compensate him for the inconvenience, missed shows, and the disappointment of his fans. Furthermore, he suggested that the airline offer affected fans vouchers for free trips as a gesture of goodwill.
Marlon Wayans had been scheduled to perform three sold-out nights at the Improv Comedy Theatre in Kansas City.
