*Reality TV star Kim Zolciak-Biermann filed for divorce from the retired linebacker Kroy Biermann last month. The two tied the knot in 2011 and separated in late April.
Since calling it quits, their contentious divorce proceedings have garnered media attention. In Zolciak and Biermann’s dueling divorce petitions, both are seeking primary custody of their 4 minor kids plus child and spousal support.
Meanwhile, RadarOnline.com has obtained two police reports exposing the estranged couple’s seemingly violent domestic life. In one report, the former Atlanta Falcons athlete admitted he continues to live in the family home because he can’t afford to live elsewhere. According to Radar, police have been called several times to resolve physical disputes between the ex-couple.
In court docs obtained by Us, Biermann requested that his ex undergo a psychological evaluation, alleging that she “presented very troubling behavior which has accelerated in the months leading up to [his] filing for divorce.”
Biermann also alleges that Zolciak-Biermann has been “spending substantial time and marital funds on gambling and other games of chance,” to the point that she is incapable of properly caring for their kids.
A source exclusively told Us that the “financial burdens have been a strain on their relationship,” adding that “the tax debt was the straw that broke the camel’s back in their marriage.”
As Radar reports, the police report indicates that the estranged couple appears to be struggling to make ends meet. According to the outlet, Zolciak-Biermann “called 911 to report that Kroy had taken her designer purses and pieces of jewelry worth $175,000, along with her passport and locked them all inside the home’s basement safe,” Radar writes.
Kroy explained to responding police why he confiscated the items.
“I met with Kroy who stated that he believed that the purses and the jewelry were marital property,” the officer wrote in the report, per RadarOnline. “Kroy explained that he took several purses because he planned to liquidate them to help offset some costs.”
“Kroy further advised that he and Kim are discussing a possible divorce or separation but that he did not have the resources available to leave the home.”
