The “Yellow Bone” singer (real name Danielle Leigh Curiel) sent shockwaves through Miami Beach in the early hours of Tuesday morning when she was apprehended and charged with a DUI following an alleged hit-and-run incident.
The arrest took place around 2 a.m., as police responded to distressing reports of a grey Mercedes-Benz speeding through the streets. According to the police report, the rising star stands accused of striking an individual riding a moped while under the influence.

According to TMZ, law enforcement was alerted after witnesses observed the high-speed Mercedes-Benz collide with the moped and continue its course without stopping. Witnesses told the publication DaniLeigh, who is the ex-girlfriend of rapper DaBaby and mother of his child, dragged the victim for an entire block while ignoring everyone trying to stop her. People were desperately trying to get her attention, but she just ignored them.
After initially refusing to stop, DaniLeigh, 28, was eventually pulled over by an officer near 16th Street, as reported by the police. The officer noticed a strong smell of alcohol in her SUV and observed that she had “sluggish” motor skills.
DaniLeigh, who claimed she was returning from a Memorial Day party, insisted to the officers that she hadn’t hit anyone and hadn’t consumed any alcohol. However, the results of the breathalyzer test painted a different picture. Not one, but two breath tests revealed levels of 0.145% and 0.148%, almost twice the legal limit. Yikes.
Following the incident, DaniLeigh was officially charged with three serious felonies, including leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, damage to property or person, and driving under the influence. As authorities processed the situation, an empty bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila was discovered in the musician’s car before it was towed away.
Meanwhile, the moped driver involved in the collision was swiftly transported to a trauma center for medical attention. As per the police report, the moped driver suffered injuries that included a kidney laceration and a spinal fracture, but thankfully, they were categorized as “non-life-threatening.” The moped itself endured significant damage, as stated in the affidavit. After her arrest, DaniLeigh was eventually released after posting a $9,500 bond.
