*NEWPORT BEACH, CA – The Subaru Newport Beach Jazz Festival, the longest-running music festival in Orange County, is proud to announce the line-up for its 27th Annual event happening at Hyatt Regency Newport Beach, June 2-4, 2023. Fans will enjoy three days of world-class jazz, R&B, and Soul music led by R&B superstar KEM, chart-topping jazz saxophonist BONEY JAMES, vocalists CHANTÉ MOORE and LEELA JAMES, plus many stars of contemporary jazz including GERALD ALBRIGHT, RICHARD ELLIOT & RICK BRAUN and many more during the weekend.
Hyatt Regency Newport Beach General Manager, Erin Henry, can’t wait to launch another successful year of music at the resort. “We are excited to continue hosting the Subaru Newport Beach Jazz Festival and are committed to creating an amazing three-day event for the jazz community and residents of Newport Beach. For the third year, the festival is partnering with Subaru through its Love Promise campaign. Subaru believes in being a positive force in the communities they serve, and one of the Love Promise’s five pillars is Loves The Earth. To that end, Subaru has selected the Newport Bay Conservancy, the non-profit organization that strives to protect the Upper Newport Bay, one of Southern California’s most precious resources. “Subaru’s relationship with the Jazz Festival, set amongst the beautiful backdrop of Newport’s Back Bay, provided the inspiration to partner with the Newport Bay Conservancy. Through Subaru’s Love Promise initiative, we are planning future support of the conservatory, one of which is a clean-up day of the back bay in the coming weeks,” said Eric Park, Marketing Manager – LAX Zone, Subaru of America.
The festival kicks off on Friday night, June 2nd at Hyatt’s Back Bay Amphitheatre with a VIP concert featuring saxman Eric Darius and vocalist Rebecca Jade. The intimate outdoor venue offers 1,000 seats within 100 feet of the stage.
On Saturday & Sunday, June 3rd and 4th, the festival heads down to the Back Bay Golf Course for two days of the finest contemporary jazz, R&B, and soul music. Fans will be treated to 20 performances on alternating stages, an International Food Court, eclectic Vendor Village, VIP hospitality, and spectacular views of Newport’s Back Bay.
