Warner Bros. just dropped an exclusive treat for all the Barbie fans out there. Fans have been buzzing with anticipation, and now the official Barbie trailer is finally here, giving us a closer look at the upcoming live-action film helmed by the brilliant Greta Gerwig.

The sneak peek unveils a thrilling premise where Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) step out of their plastic world and venture into the real world. Everyone in Barbieland is named Barbie or Ken.

Brace yourself for unexpected twists and turns as Barbie fearlessly stands up to harassment on Venice Beach, which lands them in jail.

Issa Rae has been tapped to play “President Barbie.”

Last summer, Issa told the “TODAY” show Greta Gerwig convinced her to do the role. At first, the “Insecure” creator told the outlet, “I was like, ‘This sounds crazy, but OK. Let me just read the script.'”

After she read it, she understood the vision. “When you read the script, you’re like, ‘Oh, I get it!’ It’s very funny, and it’s just very specific to her,” she continued.

Alongside the EMMY nominated actress is a star-studded cast, including Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Alexandra Shipp, Will Ferrell, Connor Swindells, Nicola Coughlan, Emerald Fennell, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Kingsley Ben-Adir, America Ferrera, and more.

On the magazine front…

The latest issue of Black Enterprise magazine shines the spotlight on the remarkable Issa Rae, as she takes center stage, offering valuable insights into her unique approach as a boss, her authentic leadership style, and her unwavering commitment to empowering her team.

In the candid interview, Issa delves into her journey of leadership, shedding light on her strategies for success and the importance of leading with authenticity. She opens up about the intricacies of being in charge and how she navigates the challenges that come with the role.

“There are traditional ways, there are ways that sometimes feel archaic, of running businesses. Even in thinking about what a CEO is, there’s a specific image in my mind of what those people look like, what their interests are. And it doesn’t necessarily always reflect us,” she says.

Authenticity is at the core of Issa’s approach to being a chief executive. Rather than conforming to conventional norms, she embraces a style that aligns with her true self.

“I don’t think I could do my job if I’m not authentic to myself. Even in creating businesses, I’m always thinking about what the most real version of me needs and wants to say. And that’s how I operate,” she says. “I think if I were a false version of myself or showing up otherwise, it wouldn’t work.”
