*According to an autopsy report for Stephen “tWitch” Boss, he had no drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death.

As previously reported, Boss was found dead in a Los Angeles motel room from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Dec. 13. He shared three minor children with his wife.

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Boss was completely sober when he took his own life.

“On Tuesday, December 13th, 2022 at 11:10 hours, the hotel manager and housekeeping staff entered the room, as the decedent had not checked out. They discovered the decedent’s possessions still in the room and subsequently found the decedent unresponsive in the shower with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound,” the report states, per The Blast.

The report continues, “A white towel was around the decedent’s shoulders,” and “A table was located against the north wall of the room which held a backpack containing various notebooks and a laptop computer. The decedent’s clothes were neatly folded and stacked on the table.”

According to initial news reports, Stephen left a suicide note that referenced his past struggles. The autopsy report doesn’t detail what it said, per The Blast.

Boss — the DJ for the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” — was allegedly stressed out from pressure related to Ellen’s “toxic workplace” scandal prior to his suicide.

According to Boss’ friend Todrick Hall, the online hate that Boss was receiving from the Ellen controversy may have contributed to his fragile state of mind before his death. Back in 2020, DeGeneres was accused by several former employees of fostering a workplace culture of  “racism, fear and intimidation”. At the time, Boss defended the talk show host.

“People were looking at him like, ‘Why are you still supporting this woman’,” Hall told Page Six, “and I think he was under a lot of pressure.”

“I don’t know what was going on in his life that may [have led] him to make that decision but I do understand,” Hall told Page Six.

“Right now when I get online some days like right now, if I was in the wrong position of where this abuse would keep happening for years and years and years, there’s only so much a human being can take,” he added.
