A magical moment unfolded on social media as the first look at the highly anticipated Color Purple adaptation.

The one and only Oprah Winfrey (aka the legendary Miss Sophia), accompanied by the phenomenal ensemble of cast members, including Taraji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks, H.E.R., and Fantasia, huddled up to to get a first look at the official trailer of The Color Purple.

The epic cast and Lady O, clad in white robes, were seen eagerly awaiting the grand reveal of the trailer. As it played, the ladies’ faces lit up as they watched themselves star as iconic characters. Watch their reactions below: 

This groundbreaking rendition of The Color Purple, brought to you by Warner Bros. Pictures, promises to captivate audiences with its portrayal of the unbreakable bond shared by three extraordinary women. With Blitz Bazawule, the visionary director behind “Black Is King” and “The Burial of Kojo,” at the helm, you just know this film will be an absolute masterpiece. And guess what? It’s produced by none other than Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Scott Sanders, and Quincy Jones. Talk about an all-star team!

Now, let’s talk about the incredible cast that will bring this timeless story to life. We have the immensely talented Taraji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks, Colman Domingo, Corey Hawkins, H.E.R., Halle Bailey, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and Fantasia Barrino gracing the screen with their presence.
