*Gospel artist and pastor Deitrick Haddon is reacting to criticism over a clip showing his wife twerking for him.

In the video, Haddon and his wife, Dominique Mctyer, dance together on his 50th birthday. After the clip went viral, several of the star’s conservative fans expressed outrage over his wife grinding on him, Vibe reports.

“The next level for the church is to learn to disagree without disrespect,” Haddon shared in an Instagram post on Wednesday. “Some approve with me dancing in public with my wife, and others don’t and that’s ok. In the words of the Stylistics, ‘People make the world go ’round.’”

Haddon continued, “It would be so dope if we could celebrate our differences instead of demonizing everyone that doesn’t think like you. I still love ya, and there’s nothing you can do about it!”

Many of Haddon’s followers shut down the critics in the comments of his post.

One IG user wrote, “What’s the big deal you married, you was celebrating another year around the sun, and your wife was dancing on you. But if you was cheating they would be dragging your name through the dirt because you’re a Pastor. I wish people would shut up and mind their business. It’s so much going on around this world to be worrying about someone twerking on their husband or wife.”

Another added, “There is nothing wrong with you dancing with your Wife as everyone you loves celebrates you on your day! We love you pastor @dhaddy”

A third commented, “You and your wife were having a good time. Other people cant stand to see people enjoying their lives and minding their business. If they would just worry about their own lives and happiness, what you and yours are doing wouldn’t bother them.”
