Hulu And Disney+ To Get Rid of Many Of Its Series And Films On May 26 – Shadow and Act

Disney+ and Hulu are getting rid of a bevy of their series from their libraries May 26, which could anger fans.

TVLine reports that Christine McCarthy, Disney‘s chief financial officer, said during a Q1 earnings call, “We will be removing certain content from our streaming platforms and currently expect to take an impairment charge.” In other words, according to the outlet, Disney+ and Hulu will use the removal as a write-off of between $1.5 to $1.8 billion. There was no word on where those removed series will end up.

The entire list of series being taken off the streaming services is quite extensive, including Diary of a Future President, Y: The Last Man, Everything’s Trash, and more. A full listing is below.

HBO Max recently got rid of several of its streaming series as well, including Legendary, Westworld, FBoy Island, Raised by Wolves, Finding Magic Mike, The Time Traveler’s Wife, Head of the Class and The Nevers. These series will eventually be found on Warner Bros. Discovery’s FAST (free ad-supported streaming TV) channel. The various series can currently be found on Roku and Tubi.
