*Jamie Foxx’s family and close friends are allegedly preparing “for the worst,” as the actor remains hospitalized following a medical emergency last month.
We reported earlier that Foxx was transported to the hospital via an emergency vehicle in Atlanta, Georgia, where he had been filming the Netflix movie, “Back in Action.” Since then, his family has not shared full details about his medical diagnosis.
The actor/comedian’s daughter Corinne, 29, announced in April that he experienced a “medical complication” but she did not reveal any additional details.
“Jamie’s people are saying he’s doing OK and improving, while doctors try to get to the bottom of his problems — but he wouldn’t be in a hospital this long if he was anything close to OK,” a source told RadarOnline.com.
Foxx has received round-the-clock care at the Atlanta facility since his April 11 collapse, according to RadarOnline.
“It was touch and go for days with him, and he had to be revived. He is very lucky to be alive!” a source previously told the outlet. “He’s very lucky he got the treatment he did,” said an insider.
According to another RadarOnline source, Foxx has high blood pressure, which can lead to clots in the brain and strokes. An insider allegedly said his health crisis was “a long time coming.”
“His friends and family are hoping for the best — but preparing for the worst!” a source told RadarOnline.
Earlier this month, Foxx spoke out for the first time since his daughter’s statement last month.
“Appreciate all the love,” Foxx posted on his verified Instagram feed, adding that he is “feeling blessed.”
