Ariana DeBose is set to host the 76th annual Tony Awards, which released its full list of nominees Tuesday. Some Like It Hot leads the pack with 13 nominations.
The nominees were announced on Tuesday’s episode of CBS Mornings by Lea Michele, currently starring in Funny Girl and Myles Frost, who won the Tony Award last year for his performance in MJ.
Along with Some Like It Hot, Broadway breakout hit Shucked also received several nominations, including Alex Newell’s nomination in the category Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical. Other Tony Award nominees include NaTasha Yvette Williams for Some Like It Hot, Jordan E. Cooper for Ain’t No Mo’, Samuel L. Jackson for August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson, Audra McDonald for Ohio State Murders, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Corey Hawkins for Suzan-Lori Parks’ Topdog/Underdog, and Wendell Pierce for Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman. The Tony Awards will air on CBS and stream live and on demand on Paramount+ June 11 at 8/7c. There will also be a pre-show, The Tony Awards: Act One, consisting of live, exclusive content airing at 6:30/5:30c before the main awards show on Pluto TV.
