*Attorney Antonio Moore breaks down how Bishop T.D. Jakes‘ recent appearance on CBS to announce a 10-year purported billion-dollar partnership with Wells Fargo should not have made the news in his opinion.
Moore frames this as a private business deal coated in “Black empowerment.” He points to how Jakes flows in and out of speaking on inclusive housing, to discussing the lack of Black wealth.
During the CBS interview, Jakes cites a study that shows Blacks will have little to no wealth by 2053. Then oddly starts discussing mixed-income inclusive housing.
In addition, Wells Fargo has a recent history of discrimination against Black America. With some accusations stating they used the church to steer Blacks into subprimes in the recent past.
