Melanie Liburd has joined Bad Boys 4 in what is believed to be a leading role opposite Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
The Hollywood Reporter first broke this news.
Smith and Lawernce are reuniting with Bad Boys for Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah for Bad Boys 4, which is currently in production.
Smith and Lawrence recently appeared in a video from the set in Atlanta for Sony’s appearance at CinemaCon.
Liburd joins Smith and Lawerence in the film as a character called Christine. There are no other character details, but she is considered to be a lead.
Liburd is coming off of significant roles in This is Us and Power Book II: Ghost.
She also has an upcoming recurring role in HBO’s The Idol from The Weekend and Euphoria Creator Sam Levinson.
Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núñez, and Eric Dane are also starring in Bad Boys 4.
El Arbi and Fallah are directing the film from a script written by Chris Bremner. Lawrence, James Lassiter, Mike Stenson, Barry Waldman and Jon Mone are among the executive producers working alongside Smith, Jerry Bruckheimer, Doug Belgrad, and Chad Oman on the production.
