*The return of Lauren Baldwin has sent shockwaves through the “Power Book II: Ghost” fanbase, leaving viewers wondering about her mysterious disappearance. The unexpected reappearance of the character in Season 3 Episode 1 has set the stage for what promises to be a gripping storyline. Fans are eagerly awaiting answers about what Lauren will do next.

In an exclusive interview with EUR, the talented actress who brings Lauren to life on screen, Paige Audrey-Marie Hurd, reveals the challenges of keeping this shocking twist under wraps and sheds light on where we can expect to see Lauren in the upcoming episodes. One of the burning questions on everyone’s mind is what it was like for Paige to keep this secret under wraps. When asked about it.

“Oh my gosh, imagine having to lie when you’re not a good liar. It was really, really rough. Especially for family and friends who know what I do and how I work. But I’ve been waiting for this day for what feels like forever, so I’m so happy it’s out, and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.”

Moving on to Lauren, who has been in witness protection, hiding away and struggling to cope with her isolation and confusion. Paige sheds some light on Lauren’s state of mind.

“I think it’s just gotten to a point where Lauren is fed up and exhausted. She’s tried to help everyone, but everyone she’s tried to help has betrayed her. I think she’s just in a place where she’s like, ‘I’m done with this.’ And looking back, when Carrie Milburn told her character that her parents wouldn’t find out, I almost feel like Lauren should have just called her parents. She wouldn’t be in witness protection, getting further and further away from her family and not having anyone to support her.”

Regarding Lauren’s feelings towards Jenny, Paige said, “I think that at first, she really trusted Jenny. And I feel like, in the beginning, she probably felt that, for the first time, she had somebody who actually was an ally but now she’s just being that she’s just like everybody else. She’s lying to her, and she’s manipulating her. And I think that Lauren’s learned a lot quicker than it took for her to learn with everybody else who did trick her or betray her.”

Paige added that Lauren only trusts Saxe because she’s desperate now. “I think hearing the conversation Jenny and Saxe had helped. Because Lauren always felt it was not Tariq who would do that to her. Hearing that conversation definitely helped his case. But I also think, at this point, I’m just going to talk to whoever and keep trying to figure out whom I can trust.”

As an actress, Paige had to keep this secret while maintaining her public persona. When asked how she cared for herself during this time, Paige says, “I’ve had to keep living, but now I’m living differently. I’ve always been pretty quiet on social media, so that wasn’t too hard for me. I just wanted to keep the suspense up for everybody. So I chose to be chill, do things with my friends, and have a lot of fun while doing so. I had a lot of time on my hands, and I even married two of my friends in Mexico. I just found stuff to do.”
