*2023 Mazda CX-5 Turbo Signature: MSRP: $41,025
I took a drive through Upstate New York to see what this 2023 Mazda CX-5 Turbo Signature beauty can do. And as expected, it handled the road like a pro, gave me long-drive comfort, and looked pretty while doing it. Plus the gas mileage wasn’t too bad for the power it delivered.
It’s got the look: Mazda’s line-up of vehicles won’t disappoint, as they’ve designed a line of elegant rides for a variety of needs, giving everyone a little taste of class at an affordable price. The CX-5 Turbo Signature maintains its brand’s current look and makes the driver feel like they’ve just hit the jackpot with sleek leather seats, and an interior design that rivals some high-end vehicle brands. Plus it’s not bad on the eyes, giving all the curb appeal. I drove the white pearl and honey, the color somehow brought out a little more class. But the Turbo Signature comes at a few thousand more than the Turbo. What you get is a few more lux features like a charging pad for your devices, a wood trip, and more. So depending on what’s important to you, turbo gives you the power and standard class you need, while the signature soups it up just a bit.
Turbo: Need a little extra pep in your ride? The turbo charge gives this classy four-cylinder small SUV the boost it needs to climb those hills and zip on the highway without breaking the bank. The fuel economy is estimated at 22 mpg city and 27 highway, but rumor has it that, depending on your driving and use, you could squeeze out a bit more. If you ever get the chance to test drive the base model and then drive the turbo, you’ll notice the difference in speed, pickup, and overall ride. Adding a little extra power goes a long way and makes you feel a bit more in control of the road.

Space is cool, comparable to others: I love to check out the space in a vehicle. It might even be one of the major points of most of my reviews because we all have specific needs, family sizes and more. When checking out a small SUV, I’m looking for decent trunk space, but also comfortable rear seats for all the friends and family I like to tow around during these things. The CX-5 offers a decent amount of rear seat space so that at least 2 adults can sit comfortably, with some charging ports too. While it’s not a full-size SUV, don’t expect a grown person to be able to lay out and stretch their legs like first class on an airplane. But they’ll ride comfortably and enjoy the space.
Overall, the Mazda CX-5 Turbo Signature is a fun drive, not a whole lot of changes from the 2022 CX-5s but always a steal for the everyday consumer. Elegant style, great standard safety features, and power to get you through those highways and rough roads.
