Netflix has released first-look photos for The Perfect Find, the upcoming Netflix rom-com starring Gabrielle Union and Keith Powers.
Directed by Numa Perrier and written by Leigh Davenport, the film is based on the novel by Tia Williams.
Here’s the logline: After a high-profile firing, Jenna’s (Gabrielle Union) fashion career comeback hits a snag when she falls for a charming, much younger coworker (Keith Powers) — who happens to be her boss’s son. As sparks fly, Jenna must decide if she’ll risk it all on a secret romance.
“Jenna is going through a work and love upheaval and trying to figure out her next chapter, and I was literally going through the exact same thing,” Perrier told Netflix’s TUDUM. “I felt like I was her in a way. I really related to the idea of trying to figure out what your next step is when you feel broken, you’re trying to put yourself back together. And then I really wanted to make a great classic, amazing rom-com.”
She added, “Rom-coms are back! This is the movie. You’re going to laugh, you’re going to cry and… it is very sexy. We will have our chemistry, we will have our sensuality, we will have all the things.”
The film is produced by Glendon Palmer, Gabrielle Union, Jeff Morrone, Codie Elaine Oliver and Tommy Oliver. Executive producers are Stuart Ford, Miguel A. Palos, Linda McDonough, Holly Shakoor Fleischer, Melissa Jones, Leigh Davenport and Matthew Myers.
