*Doja Cat says she’s done with pop music and ready to move on to rap — even though she’s been heavily criticized for her lackluster rap skills.

As TMZ reports, the artist took to Twitter on Saturday to announce she intends to prove the haters wrong with her next album, writing, “i also agree with everyone who said the majority of my rap verses are mid and corny. I know they are. I wasnt trying to prove anything I just enjoy making music but I’m getting tired of hearing yall say that i can’t so I will.” In other words, Doja’s gonna flex her stuff in due time.

Doja says pop music no longer excites her — so she’s switching genres. One fan responded on Twitter to the revelation with, “Maybe give the girls a snippet of one of the rap tracks to really shut them up idk”.

Another Twitter user commented, “i hope these comments are not the only thing that pushed you to go full rap…if doing pop and rap is what you like you shouldn’t stop simply because of them.”

A third wrote, “Nah ur being way too humble u deserve to talk ur shit in the rap sphere already.”

One Doja Cat fan added, “Doja, you could make a gospel/yodel/techno throat singing album and I would buy the CD and the cassette tape like it’s 1993.”

Doja Cat said her next project will be titled “Hellmouth,” and it will be a full-on rap album. Many fans are not too thrilled about this, with some Twitter users predicting that “it’s gonna flop”.
