*Jamie Foxx’s oldest daughter, Corinne, revealed on social media that her dad suffered a “medical complication” but is now in “recovery.”

The 29-year-old took to Instagram Wednesday night to share a message with the actor’s fans.

“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” she said in the statement, PEOPLE reports. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”

The family’s message continued, “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

According to TMZ, Jamie, 55, was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning in “serious” condition — so serious, that family members traveled from out of town to be by his side.

“He’s communicating now, and that’s good news,” an insider told TMZ. Sources claim Foxx “is doing a lot better” and joking with his family.

Per TMZ, “we’re told the medical emergency was serious, and doctors still haven’t gotten to the bottom of what happened to him,” the outlet writes.

Foxx will remain in the hospital for a few more days as he continues to undergo tests. According to Page Six, the health scare comes weeks after he allegedly suffered a “meltdown” on the set of his film “Back in Action.”

Foxx reportedly threw a “tantrum” and fired several crew members, including an executive producer, two directors, and his driver, per The Sun.

The “nightmare” production was halted when Foxx became the target of a $40,000 scam, Page Six reports.

“It sounds as though they tried to offer up a Rolex watch as part of the deal,” an insider told TMZ, claiming, “People will be glad when this thing finally wraps.”
