A24’s “Talk To Me”

*A24 has released the trailer for the upcoming supernatural horror film “Talk To Me,” which has been described as the “scariest” trailer the studio has released to date.

The project marks the feature directorial debut of Australian twin brothers Danny and Michael Philippou. A24 acquired the film after it premiered at Sundance 2023 for a high seven-figure deal, according to reports.

Per the official synopsis for the film, “When a group of friends discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand, they become hooked on the new thrill, until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.”

A short film about teens who get high on possession was written by Daley Pearson, a friend of the directing duo, serves as inspiration for the film.

In The Verge’s review of the film, Andrew Webster described “Talk to Me” as “a shockingly competent debut — and not at all what I expected from a horror movie made by YouTube stars. It may be a movie about viral videos — but the film itself is much more than an extended YouTube skit.”

Sophie Wilde stars along with Joe Bird, Alexandra Jensen, Otis Dhanji, Zoe Terakes, and Miranda Otto. “Talk To Me” will release in theaters nationwide on July 28th.
