*Megan Thee Stallion is reportedly in talks to star opposite Adam Sandler in a new film from the Safdie brothers, whose last outing, “Uncut Gems,” also starred Sandler, alongside Julia Fox, The Weeknd, LaKeith Stanfield and Kevin Garnett.
Deadline reports that directors Josh and Benny Safdie are finalizing the cast of their upcoming Netflix movie about the world of sports memorabilia, with the rapper reportedly under consideration. Production is set to begin on the as-yet-untitled project this summer.
This film would follow Megan’s previous roles in NBC’s crime comedy-drama “Good Girl,” Starz’s P-Valley and the Disney+ Marvel series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
The artist also has an exclusive first-look deal with Netflix to create and executive produce new project. Additionally, the Houston native is set to star in A24’s upcoming musical comedy, “F**king Identical Twins,” billed as a “subversive” remake of the 1998 film “The Parent Trap.”

The Houston hottie had social media salivating Thursday over what she wore to throw out the first pitch for her hometown Astros.
After practicing beneath the stadium, she stepped to the mound in figure-hugging white jeans, a white Astros jersey, a diamond chain with the words “Hot Girl” on it and a jersey that had Pete (her last name) and “222” across the back. According to MLB.com: “She came out on the mound and took a second to take in the moment before throwing the pitch. After shuffling towards the plate and jokingly saying she was scared, she threw a pitch to David Hensley that was just a little outside and ended up bouncing in the left-handed batter’s box. But Hensley made the play easily. She closed the ceremony out by getting a hug from Orbit, the Astros’ mascot.”
On Friday, the three-time Grammy-winning artist headlined the AT&T Block Party in her hometown ahead of the men’s Final Four. Her performance at the 2023 NCAA March Madness Music Festival was her first concert of the year.
“It was a coincidence, but I’m so glad it worked out that way,” Megan told ESPN of her return to the stage. “I haven’t performed in Houston in a few years, so it’s really special to come back home, reflect on my journey and perform in front of all the Hotties who have supported my career since the beginning. There is no Megan Thee Stallion without the city of Houston.”

And if that’s not enough, it was announced Friday that Meg will join Lauryn Hill as co-headliners for the next Essence Fest in New Orleans. The event will celebrate 50 years of hip-hop.
