The drama never ends for reality TV star Brittney Taylor. The “Love & Hip Hop: New York” alum was arrested in a shocking incident involving the father of her two children, Afeez.
According to law enforcement sources, Brittney got into a heated physical altercation with Afeez earlier this month, resulting in her allegedly assaulting him with a baseball bat. It’s been reported that Afeez had flown to New York to see his kids, despite keeping his distance due to past tensions with Brittney.
Things reportedly escalated quickly when Afeez and his mother were leaving the apartment with the kids. Brittney allegedly said something to him, which he ignored, and this allegedly set her off. Afeez claims that Brittney then punched him in the face in front of their children.
But that wasn’t the end of it. Brittney allegedly followed Afeez out of the apartment with a baseball bat and struck him with it, causing significant injuries to his face. Afeez was taken to the hospital, where he received stitches for a cut above his eye. Brittney has now been charged with two counts of assault, one count of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of criminal possession of a weapon.

Once the story hit the Internet, Brittney took to social media to address the incident:
“IT’S BAD ENOUGH I’M A SINGLE MOM AND I DO EVERYTHING BY MYSELF!,” she wrote. “NOW HE WANTS TO “STOP MY BAG” AND PAINT ME OUT TO HE THE BAD GUY. WHY DO THAT TO THE ONLY PERSON WHO PROVIDES FOR YOUR SEED. SMFH … THIS IS SAD. THIS IS SICK ANDSAD, SMH IOUST WANNA BE LEFT ALONE IMWORKING ON MYSELF AND DOING WHAT | HAVE TO DO FOR ME. BUT THESE PEOPLE JUST CONSISTENTLY KEEP BOTHERING ME.”
“IT’S MY FAULT FOR NOT STARTING A PAPER TRAIL,” she continued. “I SHOULD’VE BEEN CALLED THE COPS. AND EVERY TIME THE NEIGHBORS CALLED THE COPS I TOLD THEM I WAS OKAY. SMH, I’M JUST SO TRAUMATIZED.”

She then shared a collage of a video and pictures showing injuries she allegedly received from her child’s father. In the caption, she detailed alleged abuse and said she did not hit him with a bat. She claims to have hit him with a toy because he attacked her and knocked her elderly grandmother down while doing so. Check it out below:
“Speaking of DV. This Nigerian man has been beating on me for Years,” she wrote. “He feels like women should obey their man and if they talk back they deserve to be hit. SMH, He’s abusing me mentally and physically. He’s beat me infront of my child more than twice. Here is a video from one time I caught him on camera in the background admitting to giving me a black eye. He’s now trying to play victim and grab a little clout along the way. It’s very sad he’s going the extra mile to try damaging me as if he hasn’t damaged me enough. He’s a dead beat sadly because my daughter loves the hell out of him smh… I just wanna be left alone. I left Miami and I’m going thru hell. I’m being stalked and disrespected every other day. I ran away from Miami because I could no longer endure the abuse while I was pregnant. I just wanted to get away so I packed 2 bags and left. He’s held all my things hostage and is even selling my things. He’s not my baby father. He’s my abuser. Let’s be clear. I never hit him with a bat. He’s a liar. I hit him with a toy because he attacked me and knocked my 82 yr old grandmother to the floor in the process. SMH I was wrong for the way I retaliated and I turned myself in like the stand up woman I am and took my charges. There’s not excuse for violence but that was clearly reactive abuse. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH.”
This is not the first time Brittney has been involved in a physical altercation. Her “Love & Hip Hop” co-star Remy Ma turned herself in after Brittney alleged Remy punched her backstage at a concert back in 2019, but those charges were dropped. It seems that the tables have turned, and Brittney is now the one facing serious charges.
