*Larsa Pippen rocked box braids during a cast trip to the Bahamas with her “Real Housewives of Miami” co-stars and was later asked if it was “culturally appropriate.”

Part three of the cast reunion premiered on Peacock Thursday during which host Andy Cohen asked Pippen about the backlash she received for the look.

“I mean, I’m not White,” she said, PEOPLE report. “So I don’t know — my mom used to wear braids.”

Pippen was married to NBA icon Scottie Pippin from 1997 until their split in 2021. The ex-couple shares four kids. She told Cohen, “I have a braider who comes and braids my kids’ hair every 10 days…My son’s had braids literally for the last four years.”

Pippen added, “I’m going on a trip, I don’t want to have to deal with my hair, I’ll have her braid my hair.”

“My grandparents are Moroccan. My mom had braids when she was a kid. I’ve been braiding my hair every time I’ve gone on vacation since I can remember. My honeymoon pictures, my hair was braided. When I was 18 years old, my hair was braided. I’ve always worn braids when I travel,” she shared.

Elsewhere during the reunion, Pippen, 48, opened up about her relationship with Marcus Jordan, 32, the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan.

“I was with Scottie the very last year that he played with Michael,” she shared. “Michael and his wife were going through a divorce, so I never met his wife, never met his kids. It wasn’t like we had families that were intertwined. I never knew them.”

Earlier this month, Pippen opened up about dating Marcus during an appearance on the “Tamron Hall” show.

“When you’re an adult, I think your parents just want to see you happy,” Pippen told Hall. “My parents want to see me happy, his parents want to see him happy.”
