*Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell have confirmed that “Good Burger 2” is in the works.
Thompson and Mitchell announced the news on the March 17, episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Urban Hollywood 411 reports.
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger — Part 2!” Mitchell told the audience
“It’s unbelievable. We’re going to be shooting it this summer and it will be out soon,” Thompson added.

Nickelodeon Studios is behind the production of “Good Burger 2,” which premieres later this year on Paramount+.
“Packed with comedy, cameos and plenty of Easter eggs from the original, Good Burger 2 will bring the nostalgia of fans and a new generation of viewers together for another wild, hilarious Good Burger adventure,” said Shauna Phelan and Zack Olin, co-heads of Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live-Action, per Urban Hollywood 411.
As Urban Hollywood 411 reports, the sequel will follow Dexter Reed (Thompson) and Ed (Mitchell), as they reunite at the Good Burger restaurant with a new group of employees.
Here’s the official description: “Dexter Reed is down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed welcomes Dex back to Good Burger with open arms and gives him his old job back. With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex devises a plan to get back on his feet but unfortunately puts the fate of Good Burger at risk once again.”
The original “Good Burger” was released in 1997 and received mixed reviews from critics, but was commercially successful. The comedy reportedly grossed $23.7 million against a budget of $8.5 million.
