Tamar Braxton, Nivea and Evelyn Lozada are finding love and friendship on Peacock.‘s Queens Court.
Hosted by Holly Robinson Peete and husband Rodney Peete, Queens Court is a 10-episode reality series following Braxton, Nivea and Lozada as they date “21 confident and successful prospective suitors” while “supporting each other on their quests to find a King fit for a Queen.” Will Packer produces.
Shadow and Act’s Danteé Ramos spoke with the cast of Queens Court about the series. The Peetes talked about how their marriage experiences have helped them in their hosting abilities.
“We have gone through some stuff in our life, which is why we felt excited about this partnership with this journey with Queens Court because we can share with them some of the stuff that we’ve been through and I think it could be helpful for them,” said Robinson Peete.
The three eligible bachelorettes also talked about what they wanted from a partner and how the experience was for them. Braxton specifically talked about what she hopes the bachelors bring to the table.
“Who are you? And why are you here? And what do you want?” said Braxton. “If you don’t have those right answers, you got to get to stepping because we are in our mid-forties and we don’t have a lot of time to be playing these games. And especially if you sign up for a dating show, we expect for you to have yrou shit together, number one, come here with the right intentions, and then we can talk about which one of us is your queen.”
“My love language is really quality time. I love spending quality time with my man, traveling. I feel like that is my main love language,” said Lozada. So if we can spend time together, work out, eat together, hiking, whatever that is, I love that.”
Nivea talked about how the three women became each others friend during the dating process.
“We were very open with each other,” said Nivea. “To be embraced as a sister and we really were sharing experiences and giving advice. It was a give-and-take relationship. We really just being each other’s therapist.”
