*Starz’s “Ghost: Power Book II” is back for its third season, which premiers Friday, March 17 at midnight ET on the STARZ app. On linear, it will debut on STARZ at 9PM ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada.
Last season focused on Tariq trying to get out of the drug game. All of your favorite messy characters are back for the third season. Per the official synopsis: “Power Book II: Ghost” kicks off with Tariq St. Patrick determined to get his trust, get back to his family, and get out of the game for good. The emergence of a ruthless new connect interrupts Tariq’s plans to reunite with Tasha and Yaz and puts him, Brayden, and Effie back into business with the Tejadas as they’re challenged to move more weight than ever before.”
If you are a fan of the show then you know Tariq is always getting himself in a bind but slithers his way out. Another character that is always involved in some type of mess is Rashad Tate. We were first introduced to Rashad Tate in “Power” as an ambitious politician who doesn’t shy away from getting his hands dirty to excel in his career.
Tate is up to the same antics on “Power Book II.”

I had the chance to speak with beloved actor Larenz Tate, who plays Rashad, about his character and what he’ll be getting himself into this season.
“He keeps his hands dirty, but he always finds a way to keep them clean too,” said Tate. He goes on to note how his character is perceived by fans but that perception will change this season.
“I think what the fans feel is a love/hate dynamic with him. I think this season people will get a chance to lean to a little bit of the love,” he added.
In this third season, fans will get to know Rashad Tate a little better. With that, they may understand his reasoning for some of the things he does.
In my opinion, we got a small taste of that last season when he blackmailed a fellow politician for his seat. In doing that, he was also able to get his brother a higher position in the police force. His brother on the show, Kamaal Tate, is played by Lorenze’s real-life brother Lahmard Tate. I had to ask what was like like playing opposite his brother.
“Honesty it’s one of the best parts of the job. It’s just a joy to come to work and it makes my parents pretty proud to see the both of us,” said Tate.
We can proudly watch the Tate brothers as season three of Ghost Power Book II premieres Friday, March 17th on Starz.
