*Starz recently announced that 2 Chainz and Ne-Yo have joined the ever-expanding cast of the crime drama “BMF.” The Grammy-winning performers will have recurring roles in the next season of the highly popular series.
Starz also stated that 2 Chainz will play the character “Stacks, “an Atlanta-born and bred distributor whose wisdom and stature command respect wherever he goes. Fiercely loyal and determined to provide for his family no matter the cost, Stacks lives by the street code and challenges Meech’s leadership style.”
On the other hand, Ne-Yo will play “Rodney ‘Greeny’ Green,” who is described as “a local Atlanta player who’s all about making the bag. Filled with swagger and an entrepreneurial spirit, there’s more than meets the eye to Greeny.”
BMF, a drug distribution drama, is based on the true story of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and his brother Terry “Southwest T” Flenory. In the late 1980s, the two brothers rose from the decaying streets of southwest Detroit to create the Black Mafia Family (BMF), which became one of the most influential drug rings in the U.S.
“Big Meech” is played by his son Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. Terry is played by Da’Vinchi, while Russell Hornsby and Michole Briana White play the parents of the siblings.
