*DJ Cassidy’s primetime television series “Pass The Mic” will hit the road this year with a lineup of performers that includes Ashanti, Fabolous, Ja Rule, Lil Kim, Ma$e, Ne-Yo, Robin Thicke, 112, and many more.
“DJ Cassidy’s Pass the Mic Live!” tour kicks off May 12th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and “will be the first in a series of one-night-only events taking place throughout the year, each with its own unique roster of superstar performers,” writes newjerseystage.com.
“I am overwhelmed with excitement and emotion as I announce the first in a series of one-night-only “Pass The Mic Live!” events,” said DJ Cassidy in a statement.
“Transforming a show that began in my living room into a live arena concert is simply surreal. I am so honored to be uniting yet another iconic list of my musical heroes, this time live on stage, and I am so grateful for the Black Promoters Collective, whose grand vision, foresight, and experience, is my guiding light,” he continued.

DJ Cassidy’s groundbreaking series “Pass The Mic” initially started online before moving to primetime television. The superstar performers have included music icons such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, and Gladys Knight to hip-hop legends including Run DMC, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, and Salt-N-Pepa.
As New Jersey Stage reports, the series has “garnered more than 800 million impressions, 100 million views, 5 million likes, 2 million shares, and 3 million unique television viewers,” the outlet writes.
The “DJ Cassidy’s Pass the Mic Live!” tour is in partnership with Black Promoters Collective. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 10th at 10:00am EST, and can be purchased here.
