*Social Heat is coming in with some goodies for you. On Tuesday, the L.A. Lakers retired Pau Gasol‘s No. 16 jersey next to Kobe Bryant’s. Pau gave an emotional speech on the importance Kobe played in his basketball playing career. Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s widow, introduced a video of her late husband giving Pau his flowers. Pau thanked Vanessa during his speech: “Love you, sister. I’m proud to be your brother and proud to be an uncle to your girls.” Check out the heart-wrenching video below.
Tami Roman admitted on the “Breakfast Club” that she has been dealing with body dysmorphia since she was 13 years old, which she acknowledges is trauma-based. “I always feel like I’m overweight.” We have to thank you for being so transparent; sharing your story will help many young girls and women seek healing.
Since it’s Women’s History Month, check out a guide by “Housekeeping” magazine telling women how to be a good wife. Some points need to be updated, while others can be applicable today. People in the comment section wanted to know where to find the guide on being a good husband, and IG user @dank1thevandal responded, “1. Work every day 2. Provide for family 3. Provide for the other family on the Westside.” Yooo, his advice tracks for 1955 and maybe for 2023.
TikTok influencers @chrisokoyejr did a funny skit to R&B singer Mario “Let Me Love You,” about how his wifey said she went shopping at Target, but Neiman’s, Saks, and Chanel showed up on his statement. In girlie’s defense, maybe the Target charges haven’t hit the account yet, so technically, she ain’t lied…yet.
