Creed III, the directorial debut of its star Michael B. Jordan, delivers one knockout of a punch.
The film was written by Zach Baylin and Keenan Coogler, based on a story by Keenan Coogler, Ryan Coogler and Baylin.
Ahead of the film’s premiere, Shadow and Act spoke to Jordan, Jonathan Majors and Tessa Thompson about the film, how it works as an origin story despite being the third movie in the series, the anime influences on the boxing sequences, how Adonis and Bianca approach parenting and more.
In the film, though Adonis is thriving in both his career and family life, a childhood friend who reenters his orbit, Damian (Majors), results in a major face-off that is both in and out of the rings.

The film also stars returning cast members Phylicia Rashad and Wood Harris, as well as franchise newcomers Mila Davis-Kent, Spence Moore II and Thaddeus J. Mixson.
