*We caught up with the fabulous stars of “The Ms. Pat Show“ to unpack the exciting third season which is now streaming exclusively on BET+.
Per the official synopsis: “The mother of grown ass comedy is back as the Emmy-nominated THE MS. PAT SHOW returns for a brand-new, ‘did she just say that,’ ‘oh yes they went there’ season. Based on Ms. Pat’s incredible real-life journey, this critically acclaimed “grown-folks sitcom” tells the story of Pat, a teen mom and former convicted felon from inner city Atlanta turned suburban Indiana mom, and her loving family as they navigate life’s twists and turns. We’ve seen them adjust and heal, and now, it’s time to grow.”
The synopsis continues, “Season 3 finds Ms. Pat on a stand-up tour opening for one of her comedy heroes and nothing can stop her… Except maybe her kids, both Medicaid and Blue Cross, who will have to learn how to rely on themselves and each other. Her sister/assistant/manager Denise, who will have to learn how to take care of herself like she does others. Her husband Terry, who will have to learn that it’s okay to ask for help and support. And even Pat herself, as she learns how to juggle family and her newfound fame.”

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times about her beloved comedy series, Ms. Pat said the show is “going to need eight seasons.”
“I’m putting it in the universe. I want it to go on as long as people appreciate it. As long as it feels fun and we don’t have to make up stuff. As long as we can pull from my life, I would like to keep going. When it becomes dumb and we’ve got to make up stuff, chile, shut the doors and move on to something else,” she added.
When it comes to serving up her brand of IN YO FACE comedy in this crazy age of the “cancel culture,” Ms. Pat told the publication: “Yeah, but for some reason I’m skating by. [Laughs] I think it’s because mine comes with honesty and experience. I’m not doing no radical mess off the top of my head. If I’m talking about something, it’s because I’ve experienced it. If I’m talking about gay culture, it’s because I have a gay daughter. I think people look at me as being honest and so they’re not so easily offended when they come to see me. And if you are, you can always find somebody else to go see.”
EUR’s Ny MaGee also spoke exclusively with Ms. Pat about her season three return, as well as co-stars J Bernard, Brittany Inge, Briyana Guadalupe, Theodore Barnes, Vince Swann, and EP Jordan E. Cooper who dished on what they’re most excited about fans experiencing this time around. Check out my 3-part interview below.
