*Sports journalist Jemele Hill revealed in a tweet last week that she changes her bath towel every 3-4 days.
In a tweet, Hill wrote: “So I change my towel every 3-4 days. I feel like that’s about right. Am I wrong for this? Changing your towels every day feels excessive to me.”
Many of Hill’s followers weighed in, with filmmaker Erroll Webber writing in the comments: “I change my bedding and bathroom linens every 4 days. Anything longer than that is just unhealthy. I also have the routine of going from the shower straight to bed. I believe I should put a clean body in a clean bed. The bed is my clean sanctuary. Also why I don’t have pets.”
Another Twitter user added, “Is a full week too long? (will prob delete this later),” while a third commenter added, “This seems right. I’m on the same schedule.”

Meanwhile, SandraRose.com writes, “Please don’t be like Jemele. Anyone with common sense knows you change your washrags and towels after every use.”
The news outlet also shared the following cleanliness tips below:
1. ALWAYS change your washrags and towels after every use
2. Wash your towels in HOT water within 3 days of use
3. Set your hot water heater at 120-degrees Fahrenheit
4. Use a SEPARATE hamper for your towels and your clothes
5. NEVER mix dirty towels in with your clothes or your linen. Remember, your dirty towels are a biohazard
