New ‘BMF’ Star Rayan Lawrence Talks About His Character (‘K-9’) | WATCH

*Starz’s hit series “BMF” is back for its second season! And while a lot of familiar faces have returned, there are a lot of new characters joining the cast this season.

The first season of “BMF” was the introduction of Terry and Meech Flenory, showcasing how the two brothers got into the drug game.

This second season is focusing on their success and the drama that comes along with that.

The second season also starts with Terry, Meech’s brother, stepping away from the drug business. This causes Meech to find other people to work with. And in comes K-9! A drug dealer from the Detroit projects.

K-9 has a reputation as one of the most ruthless drug dealers in the area. The one you don’t mess with.

I spoke with K-9 played by Rayan Lawrence we talked about his role as K-9. While speaking to him, he doesn’t seem anything like his character. So how did he tap into the personality of K-9?

“Whenever you prep for a character, you look for the foundation in the character and find the similarities,” said Lawrence.

Finding those similarities to connect with the character must be the trick because Lawrence is very convincing as K-9. While joining forces with Meech he shows him he doesn’t allow anyone to disrespect him or the people around him. He cut off the mouth of Meech and Terry’s former business partner because she was disrespectful towards Meech and Terry.

Things on the show are about to get very interesting as Meech may be going behind K-9’s back to cut out the middleman of his drug business.

“You already saw what K-9 does when he gets disrespected,” said Lawrence. Will he retaliate against Meech?

To find out, fans will have to check out the new season 2 episodes of “BMF” now streaming on Starz.
